Capturing Love with Heart, Light and Intention.
I’m Amoré (pronounced like the song “That’s Amore” by Dean Martin), the photographer behind Amoré du Plessis Photography, and I’ve been photographing weddings on the Isle of Man for the past five years.

Originally from South Africa, I moved to the island in 2017 and began building a business rooted in connection, storytelling and timeless imagery. Alongside photography, I’m also a classically trained musician and music teacher with over 20 years of experience. This creative background has definitely shaped the way I see weddings - not just as a series of events, but as a collection of meaningful moments, emotions and relationships.

My style is soft, natural and romantic, with a focus on genuine connection rather than overly posed photographs. I love working with natural light and creating images that feel calm, elegant and true to each couple. My goal is for your photographs to still feel beautiful and authentic decades from now.

Behind the scenes, I take a relaxed and supportive approach. I know many couples feel nervous in front of the camera, so I gently guide when needed while allowing space for real laughter, quiet moments and the unexpected little interactions that often become favourites.

I also believe in the importance of tangible memories. That’s why every parcel is carefully made up by hand and includes beautifully printed photographs for you to display in your home. In a world where so many images stay on screens, I want my couples to have something they can hold, frame and enjoy every day as part of their family story.

One tip I always share with couples: when planning your wedding day, leave a little breathing room in the timeline. The moments between the schedule - a deep breath, a hand squeeze, a laugh with loved ones - are often the moments you’ll treasure most.
I can’t wait to meet you at the Isle of Man Wedding Show and hear your story. ♥
