Hi, I'm Zharah, an illustrator currently in my final year at Wrexham University.
For the past three years I have had the privilege of bringing a little creativity to weddings through bespoke live watercolour paintings of guests to be used as favours or to be sent as a thank you from the happy couple.
My distinctive style is inspired by fashion illustration, creating elegant sketches with soft watercolour details and accent details. Rather than focusing on facial features, I capture the overall essence, style and personality of the subject.
One of my favourite parts of working with couples is learning about their wedding theme, personalities and vision for the day. I try to find ways of incorporating elements of that in my artwork creating keepsakes that feel truly personal.
Alongside bespoke illustrations for guests, every couple receives a larger version watercolour of themselves that I paint at home after the wedding. This allows me to focus on creating something that can be treasured long after the celebrations are over.
As I'm still studying, I only take on a small number of weddings each year, allowing me to give each couple and their artwork the time and attention they deserve.
